Memorial Day Classic
We are SO EXCITED to bring one of th largest
events of the year to McKinney, Allen and
Desoto!
Memorial Day, originally called Decoration Day,
is a day set aside for remembrance of those who
have died in our nations service. It's the
day the National Anthem means something special,
we stand a little taller when we say the Pledge
of Allegiance and the day that everything
AMERICAN screams AMERICAN and nothing screams
louder than BASEBALL!
Please join Texas Tournament Baseball in our way
to celebrate this great national holiday.
We expect in excess of 100 teams, there we will
be on our first pay, first play policy.
Get in and get paid.
We will NOT play Monday unless rain forces us to
do so.

Cup Championship
are Coming in June!
Texas Tournament Baseball, USSSA
Baseball, Northeast Classic Baseball and
Southwest Classic Baseball are all coming
together to create a MEGA event with World
Series excitement.

2012 Metroplex Cup Championships!
This event is a
4 game guarantee
NIT 300 point
event with
PAID berth into a USSSA DFW World Series!
In addition, we will host team
registration / reception event at Ranger
Stadium.
 Championship
rings will be given to each division winner
along with the soon to be prestigious Metroplex
Cup! This event will quickly become
the biggest event in the Dallas Area!
We are easily expect more than 100 teams in
its first year!

Texas Tournament Baseball has designation
several weekends to be GLOBAL NIT weekends!

Global Sports will offer World Series
Qualifiers and World Series.
The Global Sports
WS qualifiers will also earn teams USSSA NIT
points.
During the 2012 Spring Season, TTB will host
a series of USSSA GLOBAL Qualifiers.
- Earn USSSA NIT Points in each
Global Sports Qualifier
- Team will automatically qualify for the
USSSA Global World Series.
- GLOBAL World Series mirrors with AAYBA
event; however, your USSSA points actually
count for something, as pool play is based
upon USSSA points.

TEAM INSURANCE IS AVAILABLE
Accidents will happen. Consequently, so do
lawsuits.
Oddly enough, like people who walk around
without health insurance, there remains a
segment of the coaching fraternity that is not
educated to the importance of having sports
insurance to protect against general negligence,
bodily injury, and property damage.
"What most people don't understand is that
they are putting their
personal
assets at risk," said Caroline Florez,
director of marketing for Summit America
Insurance's Coaches Choice Program for Sports
Camps/Clinics. "Say somebody is injured, your
assets are on the line if you don't have
liability coverage for those activities. A lot
of time coaches know that they have coverage
through their university or through their high
school or organization, but they don't
understand that if they are coaching on the
side, that the level of their insurance policy
may not extend to those activities. They have to
make sure they have the liability coverage and
the accident/medical for the kids."

USSSA New
Bat Rules
Effective 01/01/2012
 As
we leave the 2011 USSSA National Conference, the
big topic of the week's baseball meeting was the
"2012 New Bat" rules.
There have been many questions nd
a lot erroneous assumption surrounding the the new bat
rules. Don't make it any more complicated
than it needs to be.
From all of the previous statements, USSSA
has shorted the rule down to about 5 bullet
statements.
Effective January 1, 2012 (Big Barrel 2 5/8
and 2 3/4)
- Have the NEW USSS Mark on its taper OR
- Be a Qualified BBCOR Bat OR
- Be a Wood Bat
All of the above must be manufactured by an
approved USSSA Bat Licensee

Why Am I Not Playing
Where the Event is Listed?
This is a great question that keeps getting
asked. The answer is simple.
TTB will attempt to maximize the number of
teams that will fit into any given park.
USSSA has become insanely popular and many of
our tournaments simply outgrow the venue(s) they
are originally schedule to play in. At
that point we have a decision, do we cut off
registration and leave teams out, or do we find
other facilities. WE WILL ALWAY OPT FOR
MORE FACILITIES.
With that said, we attempt to post updated
information on our site and send coaches emails.
We always work from a FIRST PAY, FIRST PLAY
policy.
We typically try to find fields as close to
the original location as possible; however, with
league in full swing, cities do not want to give
up playing time. Therefore, we are
typically left with private facility or less
used parks.
If you ever have a question regarding parks
and alternate location, please do not

Where Are My
Points?
A question that we (as host) continue to answer
is.... "Where are our points"
The answer is simple...it's a process that takes
time. Although results are almost
immediate, typically it takes 10-14 days from
the end of the tournament before your points
will be awarded.
Here is the process.
- Tournament Ends
- Results are reported
- Sanction report and host fees (check) is
sent to the USSSA Regional Office in
Natchitoches, LA on Wednesday following the event.
- Check and reports arrive
- Points are awarded
